TPSMinisitry Leadership Development Program

Updated: May 26, 2021

The Leadership Development Program has been designed for foster children and foster parents, to provide life skills training, professional therapy, leadership development training, professional therapy, counseling, and trauma.

As leaders, we want to be intentional about what our leaders take away from their leadership experiences in programs and their involvement. We believe that all people have leadership potential and that can enhance their gifts, talents, and skills can be enhanced through education, training, and development. Furthermore, we believe that leadership is a process, not a position; therefore, the broad goal of leadership programs is to promote a culture of foster care individuals and their families of engaged and ethical leadership.

It is imperative that we practice and teach a transformative model of leadership that recognizes a multiplicity of identities and encourages participants to develop relationships that meaningfully engage difference. As well, the need for effective leadership transcends traditional boundaries and contexts. TPSMinistry Leadership program will encourage foster care individuals and their families to identify ways they can practice leadership in their home, communities, in Will County, regionally, and globally.
